Barrakuda Designs is an architectural design company based in Palmerston North, in the Manawatu region of New Zealand. We also have a satellite office in the Wairarapa town of Pahiatua.

Our award-winning work stretches from new houses and residential alterations/additions to small and large scale commercial buildings, fitouts & alterations. We create sketch concepts and designs through to working drawings and specifications. Landscape and interior design can also be included for a 'complete package' approach to design.

Established in 1995, Barrakuda has gained a strong reputation for solid design and comprehensive documentation, as well as excellent working relationships with clients, builders and local territorial authorities. We've received numerous architectural design awards, and have been the designers for various national winners in the annual ADNZ/Resene National Design Awards and NZ Registered Master Builders House of the Year Awards.

Barrakuda Designs operates from offices located in the city centre of Palmerston North, just off the Square in the eclectic George St/Coleman Place precinct. We have a staff of five including the partners, all of whom are CAD (computer aided draughting) capable. The office is fully equipped with up-to-date computer technology and software, and is a great central location for our projects throughout the lower North Island.
